Abstract
Vitreo retinal (VR) surgery and its practice can present challenging situations. Its impossible and impractical for retinal surgeons to encounter all possible complications associated with VR surgery during training and in early years of practice. Each new technique brings its own share of challenges and the fear of unknown is a huge deterrence for vitreoretinal surgeons from integrating them to practice.
Audience would learn to anticipate some unusual surgical challenges and be prepared to handle the situations successfully. They would also gain the knowledge of natural history of postoperative complications and decide the right time for intervention and close observation. The audience would also gain insight to the safest and the least invasive approach to each situation. It will be video tutorial along with panel discussion with a take home message with each clinical scenario.
