Abstract

Peri- ocular aesthetics is an emerging era. Area around the eyes is first and most affected on the face with the process of facial ageing. These changes , transform the facial messages, making an individual look tired or sad. It is a 3- dimensional complex anatomical unit and oculoplastic surgeons have been at the forefront in treating it.With the ever changing understanding of dynamics of pathophysiology of ageing changes, it is important to have a structured algorithm in managing this unit. This course is a case based skill transfer learning .It will cover the understanding of trigger ageing points , aesthetic consultation , surgical and non surgical procedures available to manage different simple and complex pathologies. At the end of the course, practicing ophthalmologists and oculoplastic surgeons will have a systematic, scientific and experience based understanding of peri- ocular ageing and treatment protocols.
