Abstract
Successful Vitreous Surgery demands combination of experience, technology and problem-solving abilities. While most fellows do get exposed to a variety of cases and challenging situations during their fellowship, advancing technologies and newer indications keep posing unseen snags during vitreous surgery. Retinal surgeons keep on improvising with every surgery by learning from each mistake and thereby accumulating tricks for tackling these snags. Sharing these tricks can be a great learning experience to fellows and even seasoned retina surgeons. The course would address challenging snags during vitrectomy; Creating sclerotomies in eyes with hypotony or choroidal detachment, Visualization challenges during Fluid air exchange, Tips on combining buckle with vitrectomy and indentation, Maneuvers under Silicon Oil. The course offers useful surgical tips for making vitreous surgery simpler and safer. Each tip would be supported by a short video clip along with do’s and don’ts.
