Abstract
The fibrotic capsule will not tear the same way as a non-fibrotic capsule, and there is a high probability that micro-scissors, a vitrector or a cystotome will be needed to complete the anterior capsulotomy. The adhesion of the pupillary margin with the fibrotic capsule will add another dimension of complication
Here in this video we demonstrate the difficulty encountered during capsulorhexis and phacoemulsification in a patient with hypermature white cataract and fibrotic anterior capsule in one eye and complicated cataract, occlusio pupillae and fibrotic capsule in other eye.
