Abstract
Purpose: We present two cases of congenital limbal dermoid and their surgical management.
Methods: The first case was of a 20 years old male and the second case was that of a 6 years old female with a limbal dermoid in the left and right eye respectively.
Surgical Excision and corneal tattooing with anterior lamellar graft (Fibrin Glue Assisted in Case 1 and suture assisted in case 2) was done in both patients.
Results: Both patients showed postoperative good cosmetic and functional outcomes. However, the visual acuity remained unchanged in both cases. Amblyopia therapy was initiated in the form of part time occlusion.
Conclusions: Combined interface tattooing and corneal resurfacing with lamellar graft can prove to be a boon for children with ocular cosmetic blemish like congenital limbal dermoid.
