Abstract

To report our experience of zepto-rhexis using precision nano-pulse technology for performing capsulorhexis in pediatric cataract cases. Capsulorhexis was performed using Zepto precision nano-pulse capsulotomy device in Pediatric cataract cases. The Zepto handpiece device was inserted through 2.8 mm clear corneal incision within the anterior chamber to achieve CCC. Total 10 pediatric cataract cases (total white, fibrotic capsule, zonular cataract, etc) revealed that the precision pulse capsulotomy technology mechanically and simultaneously cleaves all 360° of the apposed capsule of without cauterizing it, creating CCC of 5.2 mm size. There was no intraoperative complication. Our experience of Zepto-rhexis in pediatric cataract cases revealed that the precision pulse technology mechanically and simultaneously cleaves all 360° of the apposed capsule without cauterizing it in white cataract cases, seen commonly in developing countries like India.
