Abstract
A 62 year old female presented with eccentric proptosis of right eye since 3 years. It was associated with fullness over the right eye and restriction of movement of eye since the last 1.5 years. On Local examination there was a unilateral swelling in superotemporal region of orbit and the eye was directed downwards and nasally. There was no increase in size on valsalva. On retropulsion , the swelling was firm in consistency, non reducible, no orbital thrill or pulsation, no infra- orbital anaesthesia or regional lymphadenopathy. On exophthalmometry, right eye–23mm and left eye–16mm. MRI showed a encapsulated, altered high signal intensity lesion along superior aspect of right eye in extraconal compartment suggestive of neoplastic mass lesion. A simple resection of the orbital mass was done and send for HPE. The biopsy was suggestive of neurilemmoma.
