Abstract
Methods:A prospective study was conducted in a tertiary eye care center in which 25 participants were included in the study of aged 6 to 50 years. All participants were screened by an ophthalmologist before being tested. Ocular deviation assessment were evaluated and compared by manual measurements and automated eye-tracking system. A special pair of glasses is used which can enable alternating covering and uncovering of each eye similar to the traditional cover test . patients who are not able to co-operate and with low vision ( 6/60 )were excluded. Results:The PACT manual measurements and the automated alternate cover test (ACT) results show an 89 % significant positive correlation.
Conclusion:The automated eye-tracking system correlates well with manual PACT measurements of ocular misalignment a.It can be utilized in participants from 3 years of age and up and need a limited level of cooperation and less time-consuming
