Abstract

General ophthalmologist is first to inspect macula of an eye patient.Macula is the seat for many pathologies systemic,metabolic,inflammatory,traumatic,congenital,degenerative and idiopathic. Modern investigative tools and new treatment modalities greatlyhave improved the detection and final outcome.This interactive course presents common macular pathologies,outcome of investigations and treatment with excellent real time documentation and long follow up.The course aims at enabling the general ophthalmologist not equipped with advanced diagnostic tools to identify,decide on possibility of treatment and prognosticate large variety of macular pathologies. A mix of young and senior faculty provide a blend of new information and rich experience. The entire course is run in question answer interactive format to have maximal delegate participation. This course is designed for general ophthalmologists mainly in solo practice.
