Abstract
Indian Armed Forces is largest employer in India with a unique job profile with high incidence of trauma from IED blasts, retained IOFB and high impact injuries. Also remote locations as well as inhospitable terrains like high altitude, open sea and underwater injuries are present.
We work on preset guidelines (SOPs) which allow management with standard, repeatable and evidence based protocols. High quality telemedicine centers , high quality robust transfer system , multi specialty integrated management approach , meticulous record keeping to final rehabilitation of these individuals back on active duty are all covered.
This IC will review these SOPs in the context of Multi organ trauma with ocular trauma and how it can help formulating and improving the existing guidelines of all institutions to provide standard care to its patients.
All the instructors have experience of serving in high conflict zones and have been instrumental in formulating the SOPs in Armed Forces
