Abstract

The prevalence of Keratoconus (KC) is on the rise. The various management options for KC have been successful in stabilizing the progression (CXL) of the disease, reducing the refractive error/ flattening the cornea (ICRS), reducing surface irregularity (T-PRK) and in cases of advanced cases DALK/PKP/FEK. However, selection of an appropriate treatment modality for a particular stage of KC is a challenge to clinicians worldwide. We published a Five-Point Nomogram (a detailed step wise algorithm) for the treatment of KC, which was validated for 5200 patients.

The growing advent of smartphones, along with apps that run on them is perhaps the biggest technical phenomena in the recent times.

Based on our published data of the 5- point Nomogram we build an online application for KC management. Our innovative concept would be a one stop solution where clinicians would simply enter the pertaining clinical data and would be prompted with the most suitable treatment option for the patient.
